Sounds high to me MLN. It all depends on many, many factors though. Zip code, driving history, miliage useage per year, credit score, age of drivers, etc etc etc.

You should do a rate comparison every 2 years.

Maybe PA does have high insurance then.... that is the going price for insurance... I check around every year when it's time to renew and it was the same price within $5 with 3 different companies.

We are in a safe area, both have excellent driving records, good credit, married, in our late 30's.... I would think we should have the best rates...

We got a great rate using an online real estate broker.

The company with the best rate was The Hartford---a solid insurance company, the oldest insurance company in the country.

Our two vehicles cost $56 per month total for both together. Total insurance payment for 6 months is $340---$680 for the year.

Would you like me to find the name of the online broker I used, MLN2603?

I live in Oakland CA, in a higher crime area, and pay 135 a month for a 2002 Toyota Tacoma and a 2004 Toyota Matrix...

Your coverage could be really good, with a low deductible and a high payouts for medical and property damage, but other than that it does seem high for PA...

I think we have basics... 100,000/300,000 and $500 deductible. I think we also get a discount because we also have our homeowners with them.

Default No fault is Beneficial

Elder,

I work in the auto insurance claims industry and no-fault coverage is designed to protect you in the event you are injured in an auto accident. Without it, you would be required to rely on health insurance (if you are lucky enough to have it). If the accident is NOT your fault, you then have a bodily injury claim against the other person. This is where you recover your pain and suffering.

I suggest you do your research before you bad mouth insurance. And, if you don't like it - MOVE!!

It was insurance.com. I accidently found them because I filled out an online form on the website for Erie Insurance, and surprisingly my information was directed to something called netquote that sent my insurance request to multiple insurance companies and agents. Within literally seconds, an agent from insurance.com called my house. Other agents lagged behind by minutes or hours with simple mail followups. Within 15 minutes, I was finalizing the deal with insurance.com for The Hartford. I was nervous since it was a call from online, but I actually got a policy from The Hartford in the mail and everything is completely in order. All of my customer service is directly through The Hartford. My business with insurance.com is done. They aren't agents that handle policies in an ongoing fashion which is great because I prefer dealing directly with the insurance company. I recall him saying they were the largest online insurance agency in the country. I can't recall how many companies they represented----18 or 26? Looking at insurance.com's website, you can can call them directly if you're uncomfortable providing information online. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, rates depend on all sorts of things so your rate might not be as good as mine. Just give them a call and see.

I agree; however, will say rudeness seems to be in abundance on this forum. We should all try a little harder.
