I am very confused & upset right now! A few weeks ago, I filed my regular UC claim online & received a one week payment as my balance was $0... Finally, I get a live person on the phone from the Harrisburg UC office, I asked about EUC since my last claim week was Dec 18th, which is before the Dec 24th deadline... I was placed on hold for a few mins then he told me that I am eligible for the EUC extension from an old claim of mine from 1985!!!! Apparently, some 26 yrs ago I collected my regular 26 wks of unemployment, found a new job & did not need the EUC extension at that time. Which I thought was a good thing at the time!!! He said I must collect from this OLD EUC extension at the weekly rate I was receiving back then which is 1/2 of what I have been receiving since being laid off in June 2010. Is this info correct? It just seems very wrong to say the least!! Any advice would be appreciated!!!! Thanks, Lisa

Sounds like a computer glitch. Call again. Talk to someone else.

Forgot to mention, if you get nowhere, go to your PA state representative's office. The staff will call unemployment on your behalf.
