To be sure. Having too many ruins the fun of pounding on the bathroom door to get your sister to hurry up. Who didn't love doing that? No doubt today it would be called child abuse only having 1 bathroom.

I can answer that one. I can't speak for everyone from Nova who's been visiting lately, but I'm pretty sure normie's here for the same reason I am. We got tired of the Nova bashing. It isn't about promotion, it's about being regularly maligned and deciding to start setting the record straight.

At first I was just going to correct inaccuracies, but eventually I decided to start posting. Why? Because 1) Some of the threads were interesting to me. You guys are a fun bunch and I enjoy talking with you and sharing impressions. 2) I got tired of seeing posts about what "all the people" in Nova are like. People are entitled to their opinions, but I thought you guys might want to get to know a few Nova people and see for yourselves what we're like (turns out we're pretty much like you, it seems to me).

So that's the scoop. And BTW I've decided I like this forum so I may just stick around. You guys are fun to talk to, so let me say "Hi folks! Good to get to know you!"

Sooner or later the Nova bashing will run its course, and I'll probably stop posting here. Or, who knows--you guys are fun to talk to, so I might just stick around. Let me say "Hi folks! Good to get to know you!"
Hey, it was one of your own doing the bashing.

Absolutely. Ideally you have a system of parks of different sizes: small neighborhood parks all over the place, larger city-scale parks in a few convenient locations, and so forth. And again, small yards can be a useful asset as well. My point was that you don't NEED for every house to have a huge yard in order to give kids ample play space. And they will very likely adjust to what they've got, within reason, if you kick them outside.

Edit: And I see you made the exact same point in a later post, so we must be right!

Incidentally, I don't know if I mentioned this recently, but I--gasp!--lived in Virginia when I was in the DC area. Of course it was Rosslyn, which is right across the river and only a Metro stop away from DC. But still, if people who live in Virginia are the enemy, then I guess I am an enemy mole.

Hey, tomorrow I'll walk down the street and take the same houses in January. Every single branch will be in exactly the same place--that'll really wow you!

That's because you'll be pasting in the same tree image from a saved file. I'm not so easily fooled.

Except those trees were taken in October and have leaves, and this is January. Unless.... I'm really REALLY good and can use the same image and then PhotoShop all those leaves out of there!!!

I bet instead you'll revert to stock images of leafless trees and cut and paste the previous tree trunks to make it look like same trees.

Those kids were probably photoshopped in as well.

With branches that match the original photos? And bark that matches seamlessly so you can't see where it was pasted? Wow, I'm GOOD!
