Default Lets talk about comfort foods.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Mine is Rueben Sandwhiches.

I have tried several restaurents in Western PA. and the best so far is a small restaurent in Monroeville called Carls.

Anyone else care to add their favorite?

But what Pittsburgh restaurants have the best meatloaf and beef stew, prototypepariah?

We have to connect this thread to Pittsburgh in order for it to not be moved.

I thought the forum applies to Pittsburgh and the suburbs.

It does. I meant that we can't just talk about our favorite comfort foods. We need to connect the discussion to the Pittsburgh forum somehow.

My comment wasn't meant for anyone in particular, btw, it was just a general FYI.

Here are the comfort foods from PIttsburgh that I miss the most and eat on every visit back there:

Primanti's sandwiches in Pleasant Hills
Italian hoagies from Danny's - no hoagies on the west cost
Baked Ziti from Pasta Too in South Park
Isaly's chipped Ham

Pittsburgh has some of the best foods that can only be found there!

We go to Primanti's for the Pizza on Tuesdays or Thursdays. X-large 3 topping pizza and a large pitcher of soda for $12.99.

Been eating Isalys Chipped Ham since forever.

I am getting hungry thinking about it.
