Peterman's was the place I used and my parents used. He's not in Monroeville, but in Penn Hills, in case no one else has a mechanic to recommend. He's a little more expensive but he won't do unnecessary repairs. Heidi is his daughter and the one you'll likely talk to if you call (she's the receptionist). The only negative there is they don't do payment plans. If you tell her to call you before doing any repairs she can give you an estimate (and she's pretty darn close almost every time) and try to help you find ways to cut the cost.

We used PepBoys once in Monroeville and the experience was horrible. Not only did they not fix my car they caused more damage to it. I considered suing them, it was that bad of an experience. In 20+ years of car ownership I've never considered suing a mechanic. Avoid them at all costs, in my opinion.

Just as an aside since you're talking about Monroeville, if you ever need a window repair I used A-1 glass service in Monroeville & he was excellent. Fast service & great price.

Hope that helps some!
