Right at the top was mine:
BLW00024 Draft inducer motor assembly for Trane/American standard $288.70
Part # BLW00024

Pretty sure we're replacing the furnace soon. Everything else on it is going, too. It's blowing cold air right now because it overheated itself... repeatedly. All night. Woke up to a 40* house.

Ouch. Woulda been nice to figure that out before putting in a $300 part. Although I kinda did that too (put in a $200 part and maybe another one too within a year or so of replacing the whole thing which ultimately had a cracked heat exchanger).

Fortunately, Air Pro has a policy that if I replace it through them in the next month or so, or decide to replace it with someone else even sooner than that, they'll take the part back and refund me.

Considering the fact that they were prompt, everyone was polite, the guy who came to the house was pretty awesomely friendly and knew exactly what he was doing, we're probably going to get a few estimates first but unless someone is ridiculously cheaper, we'll go with them.

If you want a quote on a new install, let me know. My brother is in the business and you can see his ad on Craigslist. It is mainly a side business (he is licensed in PA) for him but he is trying to expand to make it full time. He has been in the commercial/residential HVAC business for many years.

He absolutely hates Lennox but was over 2 weeks ago to fix mine and diagnosed the problem in 10 min. My ignition control board went and $315 later...my furnace was working again. Luckily Elk Heating and Air had the part in stock and sells retail...

He installs mainly Goodman furnaces/ACs but will install others.

He gives 10% discounts to seniors and Vets and their diagnostic fee is $59.

PM me and I'll forward you the link to his contact #'s if you are interested. His website is currently being developed but unfortunately, isn't completed yet.
