Default CNC operator jobs?

I live in Michigan and i have decided to move to Pittsburgh. I know that Pittsburgh was once largely industrial, but not any more. are there still metal and machine shops around? I have training in all sorts of work, but most in running cnc's. also would it be possible to get to work, if i got job in a machine shop, with public trans. living downtown? in the "hipster belt"?
thanks

Sure, there are quite a few CNC Machinist jobs available in the area, but as far as public transportation is concerned, it might be tricky. The Port Authority, which runs the bus lines and trolleys, has been continuing to cut route frequencies and even eliminating some routes altogether. Your best bet would be to find a position in Carnegie or Nevil Island, which have a bus line running directly to there from downtown. Hope this helps. GO STEELERS!

pittsburgh all jobs classifieds "cnc" - craigslist

Not sure if the link will work. If not, do a search in the jobs section of Craigslist and you will see quite a few CNC jobs. You might take a pay cut at the beginning, but it is pretty cheap to live here. If you get your foot in the door, you usually can do well. Seems like a lot of jobs in that field in this area.
