"Yinzer" friends of ours let us use their box seats when the Pirates played the Phillies. We are Phillies fans, and they didn't hold it against us a bit!

I would disagree. You can have 10 friends who aren't 'yinzers'...but that doesn't stop the fact that you have to deal with them on a daily basis in day to day life.

Next thing you know, you're gonna tell me that I'll have to deal with Southerners on a daily basis in Atlanta.

So what if you have to deal with them? Wherever you go, you're going to deal with people every day that you have little to nothing in common with. It's called "diversity."

Right, but I don't live in Atlanta. I live in Pittsburgh as of now, and have to deal with yinzers who I find to be very annoying. I have nothing against Pittsburgh. I like my hometown. I just don't particularly get along with nor do I have similar interests to the population it generally caters to. I do love the Pirates though, but that doesn't seem to help . Plus, I wouldn't classify a "yinzer" in the same category as a 'southerner'. I have no problem with southerners, as it encompasses a very broad group of people (those who live in the south).

Well Yinzers are a dying breed anyway, since it's been discovered that you don't have to be one to appreciate Pittsburgh's culture, or even to like the Steelers, for that matter. Pittsburgh now isn't nearly as Yinzerific as it was near the end of the 1990's. But maybe you'll have to leave for several years to notice the trend.

No I'd agree. It seems its not as Yinzerific as it used to be. In fact, it seems many of the yinzers have migrated to the more rural suburbs
