OK, so Emma Watson is probably sick of that sort of thing, but she is one of the stars of one of two movies which are going to shoot in Pittsburgh, thanks in part to the state film tax credit:

Two movies headed to Pittsburgh to film

Movies bring in a TON of money to where ever they shoot. At least the Gov didn't kill that one.

Yeah, I don't have a lot of kind words for Corbett these days, but this one was the right call.

Neat! I love watching movies that were shot in Pittsburgh, or any place other than CA and NY really

Not only good money, but if people watch the shows, it showcases what Pittsburgh is instead of depressing rainy, smoky steel town old movies like "All the Right Moves".

I couldn't give you reputation points for this. I have to spread them around, apparently.

It amazes me that people would consider a movie made in 1983 to be even a remotely accurate portrayal of the city in 2011. The only thing 2011 has in common with 1983 is that it's a common year beginning on a Saturday. That's it.

It does sound like the other movie (the one without Watson) is going for a "rust belt" vibe--but these days, that isn't necessarily a bad thing (see "rust belt chic").

1983 wasn't that bad of a year for Pittsburgh... I was born!
