The next President, in Pittsburgh Aug 3rd
Greentree's own Ron Paul will be speaking at a rally in his hometown soon.
Come out and see first hand the biggest grassroots campaign this nation has ever seen. See in person what all the buzz is about. Those that are in to politics already know but for those that aren't..you should be.
This is the one man who can and will make a difference when he is elected. He is dedicated to giving us our freedom back (and our money, no one will argue with a 35% pay raise when he abolishes the IRS)
Ron Paul 2008 — Hope for America
Date: Friday, August 3rd
Time: 8 PM to 10 PM
Place: Four Points Sheraton North (910 Sheraton Drive, Mars, PA, 16046.)

do you think that you will faint when a 35%(lol nice to be in that bracket huh) cut in all those convinces you take for granted?
plus there is no buzz or you wouldn't be on here trying to "grassroots" support...

Paul's fiscal ideas are interesting, and I'd vote for a fiscal conservative if he or she would stay out of the "neo-conservative" arena of being a "social conservative" and "strictly interpreting the Constitution" to meet his or her social agenda. But enough of a non-Pittsburgh political conversation on this forum. How 'bout that mayoral race?

You must be talking about the Fair Tax. Which I am a huge supporter of. Just google the Fair Tax Comparison Chart. I can't post the link here, or mod's will cut it. Needless to say, things in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the US will be much better, the way of life better with the implementation of the Fair Tax.
I like Ron Paul, supported him until he made a comment on the debate that totally turned myself and many others away. And so, my support goes to Fred Thompson.
btw: Say hi to Marlene Tobin at the rally. Extremely knowledgable and nice woman.
blessings, Shen

sounds great...what happens when those 50% of the people don't pay there taxes when they want to? the same thing that happens now save that people have already paid a good portion of them.

This is not the place to discuss taxes --- again, check out PAFairTax.org
for correct info on the Fair Tax.
Everyone pays their 'fair share' of taxes - even illegals.

i'm not entirely sure what you mean by the first statement. i know 'convinces' is a word but used as a noun in that sentence i cannot make sense of it. please elaborate if you actually had a point
As far as buzz, sure there is. Going from a guy who most had pegged as dead last in the running just a few months ago, to being number 1 pretty much everyone on the internet = buzz.
Fox news debate poll had him first. msnbc's had him first. cnn's had him first.
facebook, youtube, myspace all have him far and away the most popular. Only one even coming close on either side is Obama.
But thats just the internet, it is translating into the real world. He has gone from a 0% in the 'scientific' polls up to a 3-4% in just a few months. A recent report of military donations has him first among all canidates as far as armed forces support. He has recently passed up John McCain as far as cash on hand, which is another huge step and much further than he would have ever gone if not for the 'buzz' that has been created around him.
Freedom is popular, its just a matter of opening peoples eyes.

lol and you think that anyone anyone that could possibly be elected is truly concerned about freedom? good luck...
convinces was convenience clearly a person of your intelligence should be able to translate a simple spelling mistake? I'm glad myspace is helping to elect the president that certainly means buzz, maybe tom can be elected too he's awesome super fun! We can then all blog about it...
also blessing lady I did check out your site, it's selling it's plan. It criticizes the other two choices while praising it's own, impartial reviewing of merits of the fair tax system it is not.
It's a nice idea and if people weren't inherently greedy and the country choked with people that don't pay there taxes now i'm not sure how asking them to do it at a time that is convenient to them at a lower rate would be. Why would illegals pay taxes that they aren't paying now or anyone for that matter? Sudden guilt? overwhelming joy of seeing a new tax structure?
