I have been looking at Edgewood, and wanted to know what peoples thoughts were on this part of Pittsburgh. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I currently live in Edgewood and I love it here. It is very quiet other than the traffic that is passing through the main roads. It is very close to the parkway east. There is also a town center within minutes that has a Kmart, Giant Eagle, a National City Bank, a laundry facility if you are moving into an apartment and a few other small shops. The waterfront is also close with many more shopping and dining choices. The neighborhood is very small so not hard to get around. One side of Edgewood is very close to Wilkinsburg which isnt the greatest area, but the Edgewood Police do a very good job of frequenting the area. I always see them patroling both day and night. Public transportation is decent to Oakland, Squirel Hill, and Downtown. Im not sure what other information you needed. Let me know if you there is anything else you wanted to know. I am very familiar with this area.
