I agree, Lookingforasafehome. When I read this thread a few days ago, I was absolutely SHOCKED at the way DonnaPgh treated the thread starter. I was equally shocked that nobody took her to task for it. The only reason I dind't comment is because it's a very old thread. The thread starter and DonnaPgh most likely won't see our comments. Pittsburghers are friendly people. Donna either isn't homegrown or she's the 1% who were absent on 'how to be a friendly Pittsburgher' day.

Default Sad, but this is how most people are anymore

And usually no one comes to their defense when they get attacked by a group of people, cause they are afraid, that is excatly how it goes in elementary school today too, bullies always get the maj. of the crown on their side and most are too scared to speak up...happens all the time, has happened to me my whole life, so when now when I do see this happen, I call people on it, i know Iam not very popular cause of it, but i can sleep at the end of the day. Consider yourself in the minority hope, but also consider yourself one of the few who still have a soul.

Congratulations on making that writer feel so small, Donna. You're obviously a real big shot. Before insulting somebody else's writing skills, though, you might want figure out how to spell words like "deffensive."

By the way, what books have you written that gives you so much authority about what good writers do. That novelist was right in the first place: authors have to do research for stories all the time. She (or he) shouldn't be the one apologizing, you should, for pretending to be an expert on something you know nothing about. Correct me if I'm wrong. What are your credentials, Donna?
I wrote a book and didn't have to ask anyone for advice - it came from the heart. What ever happen to doing research yourself? Can you truly write a book on what someone else describes? Do the research yourself, learn it, feel it, write it. Or hello bargain books!! Wow, I thought this thread was dead - it’s been around for a long time. Guess the author is struggling.
