Default Connellsville

Hello Everyone,
My family and I are looking for a rental in Connellsville. We are currently living in Hidden Valley in a condo and we have to drive every morning to Connellsville and it is getting to be quite a hassle and expensive! I have found nothing on the internet and have looked in the paper as well. I have a puppy and a three year old as well as a fiance. So we are looking for something in a good part of town that is nice. If you know of anything that would be fantastic! Thanks
Bailey

I don't mean to sound rude, but there is no good part of connellsville. Connellsville makes Uniontown look like peters twp. The only worse place in Fayette county would probably be brownsville. You can search Craigslist, look in Sunday's herald-standard and get the local c'ville paper...I think its called the courier or something. Rentals there will not be nice since the quality of housing is very poor. My only suggestion would be to either move to uniontown where there would be more rentals and slightly better quality, or look in westmoreland county, like mt.pleasant, where the rentals would be nicer but probably not much available. What is the reason that you're so determined to live in connellsville? If you have friends or family there, I'm sure you could live near greensburg and be only a half hr drive away.

Well i def thought it was just me being closed minded and not searching hard enough, but i have not found a great part of town yet, so i am glad you have confirmed that for me. Ok well our next option would be uniontown and the only thing i found there are apartment buildings and we would like a house. Do you know of anything there? Thanks for your input

Default Homes in Connellsville, PA

There are some nicer areas of Connellsville. The Hillcrest area is near the high, middle and elementary schools and the hospital. Home values have been in the range of $100,000+
If you are interested in leaning about a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, office, heated integral garage with breezeway, family room w/ fireplace, newer appliances, large yard, central air, electronic air filter, siotting on a corner lot.
Interested post to Chuck

Look for a place in Westmoreland County near U.S. 119. That way you'll have quick access to Connellsville without having to live in Fayette County. Specifically, take a look in Mt. Pleasant, Scottdale and East Huntingdon Township.

Connellsville is not a very desirable place to live in, same goes with Uniontown. If anything, you might want to look around the 119 corridor heading into Westmoreland County as Gnutella had suggested. If the drive isn't a factor, I'd even look towards the far southern portion of the Greater Greensburg area such as New Stanton. There, you could be in Connellsville in about 20-25 minutes.

That's the shame of Fayette County. It's home to some of the most picturesque areas in western Pennsylvania, as well as a lot of outdoor recreation and a world-class luxury resort, but many of the towns in Fayette County are just backwaters. The only town I could see making a comeback is Uniontown, and that's only if they tap into the recreation/resort market.

I agree. Fayette County is honestly dragging down the Pittsburgh metro in a way (it lost significantly more people than expected in the 2000's and has a high poverty rate). I would never live there and would say Westmoreland County would be a much nicer place to live in.
