We are going to try to make it on a weekend. Its all still kind of speculative right now. we get together with the buyer later in teh week to come up with the particulars. How are plans for the pic-a-nic going?
Well it might not be practical, but if you want to have the very best first impression, you have to drive in at night time. You can't even see a glimmer of Pittsburgh AT ALL until you are through the Fort Pitt tunnels and by then, you are quite literally downtown. It's SMACK in your face and still takes my breath away to this day.

I believe Hopes will post the definite soon, we are picking out a grove. It will be the weekend of the 20/21 and probably that Saturday at North Park.

RIP Harry Lee. Sounds like a good guy!

If worse comes to worse and we have to come in for the first time during the day, we will have to be like Chuck and do it again. That is so sad, I guess we may not make the pic-nic. You figure out who the fun ones are, boylocke, and bring 'em out for a drink when we get there.LOL. or a coffee i am flexible.

Well, tomorrow is my birthday and all I've gotten so far is a 6 yr old with a 103 temperature so I am gonna go play Mommy. Ya'll have a good night!!!

My hunny just told me to tell you we will meet you at Primanti Bros and go from there. LOL. We have a house we are looking into in Squirrel Hill South for $149k. It is like $17 below appraissal. I am just really, really torn as to whether we should do the smart thing and rent or jump in feet first and buy a place. I teeter back and forth.
You are the sweetest. There is no way you are getting away without at least showing us around!!
You know, unlike the rest of the country, much of Pittsburgh's real estate is much more stable. Because Pittsburgh is pretty much in a stable position (not growing but not really declining) the housing prices have remained stable here in Pittsburgh. The prices don't really fluxuate much here. If you like the house, go for it. As far as I know, you can't go wrong in Squirrel Hill.

Try this, it will give you an idea of what it's like to go into the city through the Fort Pitt Tunnel. It truly is an amazing thing to experience in person. This is not a professional video, but I think you can appreciate it just the same. Notice all the trees at first, then the tunnel then - wah la! It goes from a country scene to this massive city, it's really cool! Yes the tunnel ride is long - it's through a mountain! *smile*

It took Bush 7 years to even ADMIT global warming exists!
Not far, thats how its usually done. Just like most environmental impact statements are paid for by the same energy companies that have an interest in the project.

Too late Boylocke, I have seen it. In fact, I hace played it over and over. LOL!! it is a really cool video but I know it is no substitute for the real thing. So don't worry, Boylocke, you still get to show it off You remind me of me.
Back when I bartended in the French Quarter, it was my greatest joy to enlighten people as to the wonderful sights of New Orleans. I would lay out tour plans for them and show them things they would never find on their own or with some lame tour guide. It makes me sad to see such a noble and culture rich city go down like it is. In truth, the virus was there before the storm, the crooked politicians and cops, the rampant crime, but the storm has acted like a catalyst, amplfying the already insurmountable problems. You guys think Pittsburgh has problems? Crime? Ha, I laugh at that. This place is like a warzone and I am soooo glad to be heading there!!
I have to clarify. I live across Lake Ponchatrain in a safe, suburban area but I am sick of safe and suburban. I love the fact that people are taking their cities back. Everywhere people are reclaiming the cities we deserted with the rush for suburbia that started in teh 50s with the supposed "white flight". The only difference with Pgh is that ya'll never flew. You held on to your wonderful neighborhoods just so I could come and enjoy them.LOL. Thanks!!
