I jumped the construction fence last weekend and went to look around where they're doing the work...I've never seen it running but it looks like it would be cool to see.

Gah. This feels like it has taken an eternity. If I were rich, I'd go give them the money to work round the clock and get it up and running again. I love that fountain!

That is longer than it will take to build the new skyscraper downtown. I'd have thought that a tower of water would be a little simpler than a tower of steel and concrete and glass.

Is it bad that I didn't notice the fountain wasn't working? I feel like a bad Pittsburgher now.

On KDKA news just this morning they had the mayor and he said that it would be opening in the Spring of 2013. My guess if you look on KDKA.com you can read more.

They really need to get that fountain going. Everytime I come home to visit I am so dissapointed to see it busted down. Construction projects seem like they take an eternity in Pittsburgh. That view when you come through the tunnels from the airport and into the city is awesome...one of the best city views Ive seen! Everyone I know that has visited Pittsburgh comments on that. That fountain at the point is something people remember!! To have it not working for this long is a real shame
