The council president's direct responsibility is budgetary. Thankfully, he was just voted out of office by a Large margin. I think the residents have begun taking matters into their own hands, mainly by voting.

In places where crime or murder are more common the penalties aren't so severe.

We have an interim manager at this time, who seems fair and knowledgeable.

I think the insurance company can file a claim against the thief here too in civil court.

I'm suprised that the judge just wouldn't order restitution in favor of the insurance company as well as the borough.
