Highland Park has a very progressive feel. The commute to South Side would be okay, not great, unless you commuted by bicycle, then you can ride down Panther Hollow. I know someone that rides it every day and loves the commute, but most would rather hop in their giant SUV's and drive there.

I am at a loss regarding your situation with preschool. I suspect you will get some good answers though.

Thank you BrianTH. These are helpful suggestions. How bad is the commute from the Regent Square area?

Fer chrissakes, enough with the "giant SUV's comments! Were you run over by one, or in an accident with one? Hey, I don't like them either, and I would never own one, bit I'm not obsessed by them. And yes, we know that a sophisticated, European turbo sport sedan is the ONLY way to go! Oh, I drive a gas sucking 2004 Pontiac GTO.

Frankly, a European turbo sport convertible beats a European turbo sport sedan any day.

(And anything beats a domestic.)

No, there is just an amazing amount of them in the Pittsburgh region. It is the yinzer thing I guess. It is like, hey I have one child I need to get to soccer practice, I better get an SUV and the bigger the better. How primitive.

GTO? You mean a grand prix with some badge and a gas guzzling motor that handles very poorly?

Holden Monaro, you mean. As in "Has nothing to do with the Grand Prix."

How is one tolerant of diversity while seeking out "likemindedness"?

They're tolerant of any type of person, so long as their views are the same.
