Hey guys, looking for somewhere in the Pittsburgh area to rent or buy rustic looking wooden benches or chairs for my wedding. We also are looking for a rustic/outdoorsy looking arch for our ceremony as well. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

No suggestions, but I would be very careful about what you plan. Keep in mind that your guests will be wearing nice clothes and don't want to snag their dresses/pantyhose/suits/whatever.

MRP what Burghgirl is cautioning you on is a very real consequence of much rustic furniture. I know you don't want extruded plastic chairs, but prickly wicker and bent willow can be quite hazardous to fine fabrics. Not to mention, that without sufficient pillows and cushions, it can be uncomfortable. So, perhaps you should look for something in between these two ends of the spectrum.

I'm with burghgirl and kettlepot on this.

Rustic wooden benches and chairs wouldn't be comfortable for wedding guests.

Bench sitting would be the worst. Women in dresses would have to climb over to get in and out---or everyone on the bench would have to stand up to them them out.

There are plenty of places around that make and sell rustic furniture. Why does everyone think its crap full of splinters and old nails?

My biggest problem is the idea of sitting on benches in a dress.

It's either hike up the dress to climb into a seat or everyone has to slide out and stand waiting for someone to get out.
