Default What's is Aleppo like?

We've found a surprise house in the last hour of our hunt... The house seems like a good price, but we have never heard of Aleppo. Can anyone share if this is a 'good' area. Good = generally nice homes around it, good resale, schools etc.

Many thanks!

Aleppo Township is a rural-ish area in the general vicinity of I-79 not too far from the Ohio River where it meets PA Rt 65. It is in the Quaker Valley school district, same as Sewickley and the other outlying Sewickley-area townships. I don't know how it resales, but there should be plenty of interest in QV schools and generally being in the Sewickley sphere of influence. I believe most spots in Aleppo will have a mailing address out of the Sewickley P.O., etc. Its main downside might be the logistics of getting places/relative remoteness. Although it would appear on the surface to be well-located, the roads don't necessarily connect the way you might need them to. This is probably not enough to make a huge difference though. Other than that I can't think of a real downside.

Back in my real estate days, I sold a home that needed some repair in Aleppo on 17 acres. It was very private and had a really long driveway. I thought it was amazing and wish I could have bought it, but it was a little pricy for me. Close to Sewickley and pretty rural for the area. I can't think of any negatives much.

Real estate wise, that area is service quite a bit by Prudential's Sewickley office. They are the top dogs over that way.

Heh. Some of these people on here actually are or have been in real estate. Doubt I could actually make it doing that. I just know a bit about places. Used to drive around a lot, did my own home searching about 8 years ago, etc.

Good help regardless! We learned the house has a teeny backyard with a cliff drop off and a skislope for a driveway so we are passing! House was lovely though!
