A real cake is a little drier than that.

I have two friends who prefer the GE cake to the Dozen cake. One is a cheapskate who every morning microwaves old coffee from yesterday that he picked up outside the house and kept in a sippy cup. The other is a guy whose favorite foods, I **** you not, are Ensure and canned spaghetti.
If I remember correctly, the tasters in this particular taste test were pastry students from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, not random Pittsburghers off the street, so I don't think you can explain Dozen's poor showing by saying the tasters didn't know what to look for.

You know what I mean, an adult sippy cup. The kind you take with you in the car. What are they called, if not "sippy cups"? I don't use them. Can't stand burning myself using that teeny-tiny opening.

You may be right. I don't recall who the tasters were. I would love to be in a taste test like that.

It's on Murray Avenue, can't remember the name, but I can't imagine they will be there long either.
Are you talking about Gluuteny?

I think most people call them "travel mugs" or something like that, although I agree they are in fact sippy cups.

Perhaps a free scratch behind your ears with each cupcake?

If there's anything I like more than cake, it's dogs, so Doreen sounds alright to me.

$2.50 still doesn't seem that expensive to me for a gourmet cupcake. A slice of pie at eat n park can cost more than that!

I hope Doreen knows that as much as she loves dogs, the Health Department will frown upon there being one in the shop, despite how cute and friendly it may be. She seems like a smart girl. Some people love their dogs so much they lose common sense.
