Looking for a Downtown bar recommendation. Going out with someone for the first time and we are going to do the Gallery Crawl.

Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District :: Throughout the Cultural District, Pittsburgh

Was looking to grab a couple drinks after. Will be around Liberty and 7th Street. I'm two weeks new to Pittsburgh and haven't really ventured Downtown too much.

Would prefer a place that is relatively close to the area we are already at, is a non-smoking establishment, and something with a nice feel to it. Not looking for overly romantic since it's a first date, but I don't want to be sitting at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Not having to scream or overly raise our voices to hear each other would be fantastic.

Maybe a beer garden type establishment with quality beers, some outside seating, and lit up by some strung Christmas lights.

Thank you

2 suggestions, Sharp Edge at 920 Penn and 11 at 11th and Smallman.

Lots of different and fancy Belgian beers at the former, and the latter is a pretty classy lounge restaurant situation a few blocks away.

Go to your link on the left hand side of the screen and click on the 'Dining/Hotels' link.

You may want to double check the direct websites or call specific spots....I see Las Valas is still on there.

Ah, reopening July 16th. Granted that won't help you tomorrow.

Those all look like some great spots. Nola looks to have some really good beers. Seviche definitely seems interesting and different. Olive or Twist is really nice but not my style. Grille on 7th's website is making me hungry. Sharp Edge i don't think is a good fit for tomorrow but will still make a point to visit one night.

Thank you for all the suggestions, will post up on where went.

I don't know if it is too late, but Elements is near there and has outdoor seating, and in general I think it would be good for a less-loud bar date.
