Hey Guys,
I came across an apartment listing today looks semi legit. It is in the Mt. Washington area which is a plus being close to the Southside. The link is below if you guys could check it out real quick and let me know how that area of the neighborhood is. I've read somethings that back that far in Mt. Washington gets a lil sketchier...any thought or info would be greatly appreciated!

Free LCD TV with Lease, Youtube Video linked (http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/apa/2500052228.html - broken link)

Thanks,

Eric

Those are the Palm Garden apartments @ 873 Boggs Ave.

Real convenient to the T, right down the city steps to the transit stop. There are like 3 red brick apartment houses right on top of a bluff.

The apartments are older and inexpensive, but you can park right there.

I don't think that's terrible area of Mt. Washington at all, and could work out if you are on a tight budget and take transit.

I'd be a bit more wary of the other tenants in the complex than the neighborhood- that's just my general impression.

Go look at it on a Saturday close to noon or so that way you can get a feel of the neighbors and also look at the vehicles parked there, I find that they are a good indication of what to expect, family cars with kid seats are usually messy, the quiet neighbors cars are usually pretty clean except maybe for a couple bottles, if you see a car with energy drinks and all kinds of rock stickers, drug stickers, performance supplier stickers or even a kurt corbain rip sticker the car is dirty or messy and no car seats than you have a wanna be bad ass that will be having parties or pot meets or playing music loud sometimes or early in the morning and if there is sub woofers in there they will be playing them while they leave and approach the building no matter the time of day or night just as a heads up, tenants cars can tell you about the tenants very interesting, and watch it if he wants to show it on Saturday in the morning that could be because the noisers are still asleep, after looking at different apartments in different areas I have learned to look for some signs of what you are getting into, good luck, plus next time you are out and about pay attention to the cars that go by you can learn a lot by paying attention.
