I randomly came across this link: Amazing Historical Photos Of Washington D.C. Recreated Today
It was one of the cooler things I have seen in a long time, and could work very well around here for someone to do.
You can especially see how some of the modern replacement buildings pale in comparison to what was torn down (see slide #36 in particular), or how awful some of the facades are that are covering up an otherwise nice looking place.

I know this technically has nothing to do with the burgh so delete if you feel necessary.

Maybe it is just me but proposing something like this for Pittsburgh seems plenty on topic. We've also got some great historic picture sources available, so I think it would be doable.

These are really great.

I've thought it would be interesting to go back and photograph the areas that W. Eugene Smith shot for his Pittsburgh Project.
