Hi everyone,

We just moved here and we have a piece of furniture that doesn't fit and it is new, however we have it in the basement now and this will pose a problem for it as it is humid down there and this is real wood.

I had the kids toy box, also wood down there for the last 3 weeks and it got mold at the bottom.

Where will I sell this fast, like in less than a week? it is an Armoir, Mission style, new and is a very nice piece...but it will get damaged if its not upstairs somewhere and we simply don't have the room as we hoped we would.

Help please.

Thank you.

Craigslist or Ebay is probably the best option for a quick sale.
If you don't mind doing consignment and waiting for it to sell, there are some used furniture stores in the ares;
used furniture - Google Search

I did put an ad on Craigslist...

I think I saw a consignment shop but I don't remember where...

I don't mind as long as it is not in a basement...

How much are you trying to get for it? Can you post a picture of it?

There are quite a few around. I have used this one to sell my old furniture before and can give them a five star rating.

Secondhand store owners in Pleasant Hills use bargain hunting in business

There are a lot more furniture consignment stores all over the Pittsburgh area which some might be closer for you.

If you're going to put it on Craigslist (or anywhere online), pictures really help.

It looks MUCH better in person, but there's no light down in the basement so....

Thank you,

That look like a nice piece of furniture.

Just as an aside, if you're getting mold growth on something that's been in your basement for only 3 weeks, you have a major moisture problem in your basement that should be rectified immediately for your health!

That's a pretty Armoir. I know it's a quality piece of furniture, but I'd only buy it for half the price since I'd use it in my son's room. If you can't sell it, let me know.
