Actually the big e beating the ACC has been going on for awhile.

Just so you know I support vs a ACC team. It is nice to know that mediocre Big E team can beat one of the best ACC football programs. I maintain that Pitt could beat any ACC school including FSU and Clemson but would lose to most other big e teams and would lose to any sec and big 12 school.

We should all be happy that the Big E is still better than the ACC despite losing its best team to the big 12.

I wonder if you recognize the irony in your post given that fans of programs that haven't been nationally relevant in decades tend to live in the past.

What is a "short" memory to you? 10 years? 20?

I'm not going to down Pitt athletics. I'm happy for your program that you won't have to be in the Big East in the future, and it was fun to pull for you to beat the hated Hokies this weekend. Shell looks to be an awesome RB that should easily be starting over the hobbled Graham at this point. I still think Chryst is the guy that will elevate the program beyond where Wanny had it, but due to the last 3 years it will take time.

While I'm not the kind of guy to live vicariously through a sports team, if you were inclined to compare programs you have to go back to the 80s when Pitt football and WVU football were even comparable (personally I would give Pitt the edge for that decade). The bowl and yearly results are all in this handy link: College Football Data Warehouse
None of that really matters, but if anyone is going to make the argument the aformentioned link is a solid rebuttle.
