Default Driving to Mt.Washington on saturday night...

So I've been invited to a birthday party on Mt.Washington. If you've read my previous posts, you know I live in Moon Township. I know it's a Saturday night and there's a home Steelers game as well. What would be the fastest and/or best way to get there (and by fastest, I mean with less traffic, ect.)? Is this a lost cause? Should I avoid it altogether? Thanks again; all the feedback I received on my previous post helped me out a ton.

What time is the party? What time is the Steeler's game?

Even if traffic will be difficult, I think you should go to the party.

You're new in town. It's important to make friends and socialize.

No need to feel stupid most preseason steeler games are on saturdays!!! It should be quite simple to get to Mt. Washington from Moon in that case. Just use the normal route.

Take the P. J. McArdle Roadway!!!

I don't know if it's the best route -- I just love the P. J. McArdle Roadway. We used to visit my Aunt Abbott who lived on Grace Street on Mount Washington, and we'd go up the P. J. McArdle Roadway. For some reason, my Dad always made a real big thing about driving up the P. J. McArdle Roadway -- which is why we don't shorten the name... just a silly Dad thing...

It's not really on your way if you're coming from from Moon, though. It's on the front of the hill, and you'll be coming up the back. You could take it on the way home (going down the hill) and then immediately make a right turn into the Liberty Tunnel to get back to 51.

I actually did take it last night. I drove into downtown by 279 north and then took the blvd. of the allies to the liberty bridge. I can see why you like it. It was fun driving down it with the windows down and some music to go home. I'll bet it's gorgeous in the fall.

Traffic, by the way, was a breeze last night ,surprisingly.
