My wife and I spent last week in and around Pittsburgh. Looked at many rental options and neighborhoods. We loved downtown Millvale, and may eventually settle there, but for now we opted for a unique space in Observatory Hill - short commute to work, room for my wife's office, next to Riverview Park, etc. Moving in late November.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post and, more generally, to the Pittsburgh forum. Folks like us really benefit from your knowledge as well as the friendly way it's offered.

Best,

Welcome to Pittsburgh! Best of luck to you. Observatory Hill is a great neighborhood (Riverview Avenue is gorgeous, if you haven't checked it out yet).

Welcome to Pittsburgh. My friends lived in an apartment complex in Observatory Hill that faced into Riverview Park. They really liked it.
