Hi, We are moving to PGH with a 2 yr old and 2 month old infant and need a pediatrician. Will be working in Oakland, living in Aspinwall. Prefer ped who is supportive of breastfeeding to 12+ months, and conservative in use of antibiotics. Thx!

Hello! St. Margarets has a great pediatrician office. I reccomend Dr. John (there are two Dr. Johns in the office make sure you get the female Dr. John.)

We used to live in Aspinwall. You will like it there. When we lived in Aspinwall our former neighbor was a pediatrician and she recommened the Bass Wolfson group in Squirrel Hill. We really like all of the Doctors there. The popular option at St. Margaret's is Dr. Tucker. Also, further out in Indiana Twp. by Hartwood Acres is Dr. Romero.

Thanks, IrishVan! I did a little online searching and want to make sure I found the right Dr. John: Martha John, MD, about 61 years old and went to medical school at Case Western? It looks like she's part of Children's Community Pediatrics.

YES! Martha John, Dr. Tucker is also a really GREAT Dr. You can't go wrong either way and they are in the same practice.

We use the Bass Wolfson Pediatrics location in Squirrel Hill. Dr. Anna Kim is our main pediatrician, but we also have seen other people in the practice. Dr. Kim was definitely supportive of longer-term breastfeeding, and I think it would be fair to say she was conservative on antibiotics (in fact she hooked us up with a study that was looking into alternatives to antibiotic treatments for ear infections).

CCP HealthQuest at Harmar. Top-notch doctors and CRNPs. They're near Fun Fest on Freeport Road and I wouldn't take kids anywhere else.
