I saw a few comments in another thread about how people in Pittsburgh dress so much more casually to go to a grocery store than the people in northern Virginia.

Curiosity has taken hold of me.... we're into jeans and work out clothes down here so if you guys are more casual than that, how casual are we talking about? Bathing suits? Pajamas?

And.... does anyone have photos?

I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours. I have to admit I kind of admire a town where people are so comfy with each other they can run to the store in their robe and slippers.

Just normal casual clothes (I don't see a lot of PJs, for example).

It heavily depends on the area, the city for the most part expect jeans and a t-shirt pretty much, there are poorer areas of the metro where I have seen people unshowered wearing sweats and pajamas but that is more the exception and not the rule. I have seen slobs everywhere, even in Hollywood believe it or not lol

Go to the Giant Eagle in Rices Landing PA, you have a high chance of finding that like I have before, there are adults sitting on the floor scratching off lottery tickets which I found kind of disturbing

That's what people wear when they shop at Walmart (did you ever see those emails that go around about Walmart shoppers?)

Most in the Pittsburgh area wear pajama paints and are not showered. That is pretty normal at the Waterworks Giant Eagle. Kind of gross, to be honest.

Are you trying to say that it is black tie in VA? LOLOL That's FUNNY! Sorry. Glad we didn't move there as I don't own any formal clothing items.

Thankfully, I haven't seen many pajamas at the grocery store...I also don't have time to "notice" this kind of stuff...my only goal is to make it out of the store in less than 5 minutes!
