Honestly, what Sharon Needles does for a living isn't any different that what Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj or Kiss do onstage. Lots of grown-ass people put on costumes and make-up and put on a show. Doesn't mean they deserve contempt or to be called "it" or a "thing" or to be discussed as if they're not human.

In a perfect world Phi Phi would have been eliminated and Sharon, Chad, and Latrice would benevolently reign together as co-winners. Alas, such is not reality television. Team Sharon!

I don't think anyone has been portrayed as "it" or a "thing", as a red blooded heterosexual man, I simply like to know what I'm looking at is a real woman, and if it's not, I'm simply not interested

Of course the comedic value of a drag queen performance does not in fact depend on whether or not you desire to have sex with the performer (in or out of character).

But some people just can't help thinking about it, I guess.

Drag queens don't dress up like women for sex or to look for men. They do it for entertainment and to make people laugh.

The men who dress up like drag queens don't dress like that in thier regular lives (otherwise they are transvestites) and they are attracted to other gay men who look like men.

Nor do they actually want to be women. They're gay men who dress up to perform.
