Would you consider Mt. Washington? If so, I'd gladly pass along my landlord's information. I know he has several properties in Mt. Washington and apartment rentals. I've rented two single family homes from him and I'm very pleased.

So I got crazy busy and haven't had a chance to get on again... But I can't believe all the replies, thanks everybody!!

I'm definitely looking at Walnut Capital. They told me to call back in April and they would know more about their openings then. My only fear there is they're a bit more expensive from what they me on the phone than some other places.

I think I'm also gonna look at J.J. Land, Kamin, and Frankling West. Some of them get expensive too...but a lot of places seem to be that way. The reviews still scare me a bit, but you guys had some good points about large companies and that they're not gonna get great reviews online.

O well, thanks again! I'm starting to get excited as it draws closer. And with it getting warmer hopefully I'll be able to go walk around a bit too.

It was in the 60s today. Many people were outside in shorts and t-shirts at the parks.

I just moved to Friendship renting from JJ Land. Great experience so far. Their website is outdated and doesn't list the latest prices (I think all their rent is bumped up around $100/month now), but they're the most affordable I found. Plus, no application fee and all utilities are included in my rent, which is fantastic.

I definitely recommend checking out the Friendship area if you haven't already. It's right in the middle of everything and is a 5-10 minute walk to Shadyside, Bloomfield, and East Liberty.

I would think you should decide if you want to live amongst other law students or be sort of a trailblazer. My friend who is 1L at Pitt lives in Regent Square. She likes it but you may want to live closer to your class mates.

Thanks! I'll definitely look into it. I'm not as familiar with Friendship as I am some other areas, but I'm totally happy anywhere that's a good price and is decently safe. I'm surprised to hear that all of your utilities are included though? I believe their prices have gone up for sure but everything on the site still has electric, and sometimes gas, that has to paid additionally. I'd be ecstatic if I could find something in that price range with all utilities!!

And as far as Regent Square, I'm definitely fine living there and have looked around a bit, just separating Regent Square from the rest of Wilkinsburg on the search sites just takes a little time.
