Kretzlers's on Babcock Boulevard has been well know for their fish sandwiches for years. Also, E Town Tavern in Etna is quite right slick.

You're talking about Neid's. I can walk there and they have the best fish sandwiches around.

Armand's in Bloomfield at least claims to have a good fish sandwich; it's pretty prominently proclaimed on their sign. Though I have not tried it.

Nied's in Lawrenceville is slightly a better deal than elsewhere I've eaten a fish sandwich. I think anywhere is mostly the same.

Try that place in Etna. I will say one thing, it is clean as a whistle.

Nied's is pretty clean old style bar as well. I like that place.

Both Benkovitz and Wholey's in the Strip have good batter-dipped, deep-fried fish sandwiches. If you're looking for something more upscale, try Penn Avenue Fish Company, in the Strip or 308 Forbes, downtown.

I like Hook Fish and when I was in Highland Park, I used to go there. They have good food, but no place to sit and eat.
