Default waynesburgh

Will be in Waynesburgh for a day this weekend. Is there a "must see" spot or a "must try" restaurant? Thanks!

I know this is old, but I would love to reply. If anyone is interested in Waynesburg, I can tell you all about the place.

What's the college like? They recruited me for basketball in the mid-90s. I wish I had gone to see it, never been to Pennsylvania.

Hot Rod's Barbecue. Amazing restaurant!!! Homemade salt-free potato chips, pork wings, and a delicious variety of sauces. Right downtown near the courthouse.

BTW, greenegal, I'd love to hear more about Waynesburg from a local! My wife and I have spent some time there, and really enjoyed it. Being from Northeast Ohio, we really enjoyed Hot Rod's. Barbecue places are hard to find up our way!!

Dear Greenegal,
I am coming to W'burg for the GNP show on May 2 and am looking for lodging - preferably a private room in a home near the campus for 4 nts. Any ideas on how to locate same? The CofC was only interested in sending me to the hotels for $100/nt. Not in my budget. Local insight much appreciated!

Dear BeachyGal,

Have you tried contacting the college (now the "university")? They may have some insight/know a professor or employee who would be willing to host you for a few nights.

Also, I know these are old posts, but I have to add: Lam's Garden for the best Chinese food in Western PA and Rohanna's Restaurant for a great dinner (their chef's specials are always fantastic).
