As for Buffalo and Rochester, no that doesn't encompass WNY. It is a very small portion of the area and we don't even consider rochester to be part of WNY. And in my county, the FURTHEST west, there are only two wegmans, the rest of the area is quality area. Wegmans is more of a Buffalo/Rochester/Syracuse thing, not really WNY as a whole.

I moved to Pittsburgh because of the location, terrain, but most importantly job opportunities. There happen to be quite a few jobs in this area whether people who live here want to believe that or not.

Infrastructure refers to everything infrastructure including transportation, utlities, etc. I have no problem getting around, Im very good at navigation, as its part of my job, but the roads just suck. They may be in the worst condition of any area I have ever been.

As for who I am, I am in a long term relationship with my girlfiend, practically married, but aren't. No kids, decent income and live in a nice area. I just don't like the city, no offense, I just don't. I liked it the first time I came here, but that changed within the first few weeks.

I also don't enjoy the fact that the air here is very dirty. My asthma has been much much worse here due to the amount of particulate matter in the air than it ever was in Buffalo.

Yeah, I don't like the weather here either, too warm

Well let's not argue the WNY thing because I have a totally different take of what comprises WNY.

I *still* dont know what quality is..... hint, hint please?

It's quite refreshing to hear someone speak of jobs in the Pittsburgh area. I don't live in Pittsburgh, so it's hard for me to comment on that. I'm not a city person anyway, I LOVE the suburbs!

I live in Scottsdale, AZ and love it. However, I do believe that the air quality here is pretty rotten also.
Cough-cough.

Once the architecture is history, its history.

PLEASE don't take offense to this. *But* you certainly sound as if you are from Buffalo. The residents there refuse to tear anything down, including all the rusted out grain elevators which have ruined the once beautiful waterfront. That is one thing that drove many people nuts there. No one was allowed to get rid of any of the eye sores and the place looks like sh*t now.

Pittsburgh, OTOH took the opposite approach. They are finally ridding the waterfront of the gross and worn out factories & such, and building nice, new, clean and functional properties. Yay for Pittsburgh! They have seriously done a wonderful job thus far in cleaning up the joint.

Now about those houses.............

But "I think Pittsburgh sucks" is a personal opinion that has no merit on anything other than you, of which I said, fine, but I'm not going to argue with you. And as for "So leave?" I meant leave Pittsburgh if you aren't happy, not leave the forum. Although, you're certainly welcome to do that to if you want.

How can you tell if anyone left you a negative? That's not very nice....

Maybe not, but you're smart. I tend to listen to facts more than opinions. Okay, that's not always true is it?

*nevermind* LOL

Thanks, I needed that. I try to base my opinions on facts. I was just talking with DD about that today. I think it's my science background.

Nope, not from Buffalo, and I would definitely tear down old factories, etc. I'm talking about buildings, which can easily be renovated into new wonderful spaces.

I wouldn't call pittsburgh *clean* though.

To whomever gave me neg rep for this post? How is this trolling? Pittsburgh isn't that clean. The air is really dirty, has the most particulate matter of any city in the united states. I don't find that clean!
