Yeah, around Kittanning Pike and Sharps Hill. I think there is one on Mary Drive for that type of price. I have seen homes in the $30's as well. On the other hand there are homes over a million in O'Hara and it isn't uncommon.

Oh. I google mapped the area, I always thought that area was part of Etna or Sharpsburg, haha never knew that was actually part of O'hara.

Granted, Oakland is one of the most densely populated and business populated areas in the city, but I would estimate over 25%.

I think one has to take Wiki with a high "index of suspicion", however, their numbers appear to come from the ACS by the census bureau. You can certainly check the link. I find that sometimes Wiki gives a good distillation of an issue.

True. I know many of my friends back in college used to change the articles all the time just for fun, so after seeing that, I never know what to believe. This site has relatively reliable data, that is where I got my source from.

You live in an area that bus service is frequent, but that doesn't mean all surrounding places have that luxury. I would say your view is a bit skewed. I am not a fan of Wiki either, but I can't find other sources that are up to date. We have room to improve in the Greater Pittsburgh Region. Regardless even at the 18% that is still pretty impressive. I wouldn't have thought it was that high.

My view is slightly skewed, I'd agree. I mean if i was completely skewed, I'd say being in Oakland 90% use the bus . But I do know the farther from the city, the less the percentage of people use public transportation. And Greater Pittsburgh, yes we definetly do. I'm not a huge Cranberry fan, but I belive the T should be eventually extended to there, Moon/Airport area and then to Beaver County, and out through Oakland to Monroeville and eventually to Greensburg.

Either way it doesn't matter that much. Pittsburgh is using its public transportation pretty well. Hope it gets better and better. I think the projected cuts are all about positioning for future negotiations. Nothing more. Cutting public transportation is going backwards. Problem is, costs and all these new taxes that don't work. PAT made a bad bed and the people of our city are paying of it.
