I know he was born and raised out in Pittsburgh. He talks about the city in his songs. He is easily one of the most well known musicians to come out of Pittsburgh in a while. What are people's thought on him in Pittsburgh?

I'm not a big fan of hip-hop, but I'm glad that he and Wiz Khalifa have put Pittsburgh back on the musical map. Pittsburgh has contributed plenty to American pop culture, primarily with regard to movies, TV and radio, but was rather dormant musically since about 1980. The song "Black And Yellow" gives Steeler fans something extra to brag about too: how many other NFL teams have inspired a song that a) reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and b) got nominated for a Grammy Award?

This is my 6,000th post on City Data! Lettuce celebrate immediately!

I heard they're teaming up for a new Bucs theme song:
"They Play the Game On Grass. So Do We."
