Thanks for posting - helps keep connected with Pittsburgh. What is so great about the photo's is they show how all those buildings are packed so tightly in Downtown. Many are actually adjoining like PPG Place of the 1980's and the Burke Building from 1839. Also enjoyed the photo's of Stawberry Way, that little remnant of 1850 Pittsburgh surrounded by the behemoths of the 20th century.

Fantastic tour! It was great looking at the detail in these buildings without having to concentrate on driving as well.
Only one gripe I have: It's really Kaufmann's clock, as opposed to Macy's clock. Sorry, I just don't believe that a company that buys out another deserves to 'own' the heritage of a clock there more than 100 years.

It's such a shame that the storefront- street level view of a lot of the buildings here are such an eyesore. At least the upper levels are detailed and...quite pretty, actually.
I'm glad Wood Street is slowly- very slowly- turning into a more appealing area.
