U.S. Steel could be looking to move from Downtown - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
There have been rumors about them looking at a 110 acre site in Findlay Township by the airport, the old Civic Arena site, or at Southpointe. Or they could be doing this for leverage to get cheaper rent at the USS Tower. We'll see.

If they do move, I bet one of the main factors would be owning a campus vs. paying a higher lease at USS Tower.

No doubt would be the right move to get out of the tax mess. Let UPMC and the universities take over since they are not having to pay like a USX would. Can't blame them. I think down by the airport is the logical move. Findlay is my bet. Might be a good time to invest with the overhead cost reductions.
