Default Blue Bell Ice Cream

PLEASE tell me that is availabile in Pittsburgh. I don't think it used to be. Blue Bell's "Homemade Vanilla" will top the list of things I will miss in Dallas. No Ice Cream I have ever eaten comes close to Blue Bell.

Perhaps somebody who is familiar with Blue Bell could recommend a suitable replacement in Pittsburgh?

I believe you can only get Blue Bell in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Louisiana, and a handful of other southern states.

One of the Pittsburgh faves is Brusters, it's an ice cream parlor rather than a brand, I imagine they do take home pints and such. Atmosphere wise it's somewhere in between DQ and Coldstone. The prices area really good for what you get.

I remember Brusters. Isn't their logo two cherries?

Yes, and he's right, it's got a big fan following in Pittsburgh. In fact, I personally think Bruster's ice cream is very high quality and my favorite is plain old vanilla.

Maybe you'll find it a suitable replacement??

They also have absolutely delicious fresh seasonal ice creams of which my favorite is peach when it is in season.

They have excellent keyline pie ice cream and my little guilty pleasure is their phenomenal crackle cotton candy. I know it's a kiddie flavor, but it is AMAZING, and it has pop rocks in it! Loves it!

Do you guys have Handel's down there in Pittsburgh? It's a local favorite here in Youngstown. And they've been getting some national attention 'cause it's that good!
