I love that house, walk past it pretty often. We've actually take some inspiration from the the design of their porch in working out the plans for our side porch.

As I recall it is a regular feature where they pick some random price point and look at what you can get in different parts of the country.

The goal, I assume, is to make people living in NYC feel as bad as possible.

That is what got me when I looked the home up on Howard Hanna. That is insane. 675 gets you a nice house in Shadyside or Squirrell Hill.

I would not pay $360,000 let alone $675,000 for a house in that neighborhood, no matter how nice it was.

You can get places like that, in great condition for under $100,000 in Detroit, in even better neighborhoods right now. Its nuts.
