Anyone know what is going on these days? If I go on the website it just says, "APPEAL ENTERED AND ACCEPTED" Do I get some letter to go downtown at some point? I haven't heard anything lately on this matter. Is there some extension? I certainly don't want to miss anything.

Mine is entered as the same thing... I've been waiting to get a letter saying when to go down there, but nothing yet.

You guys are farther ahead. Nothing is entered for mine yet. I heard they were 6-8 months backlogged.

The county is ramping up for the estimated 100K formal appeals that have to be heard. Go down there with good evidence and you will likely win your appeal.

I'm not in a rush for them to schedule mine. I won't have my evidence ready for a couple of months.

How could it take that long to prove your house is worth less than what the county thinks, but you know you could get more on the open market?

Isn't that the truth.

The appraiser isn't scheduled to come until the end of July.

It won't be a guessing game for long. We're putting it on the market next year.

Not long at all. It took my layers about 2 weeks last time I did it. They do have their ways.

Good to know. I haven't taken any action yet, aside from requesting the formal appeal. We're busy with other stuff right now.
