Never leaving your car unattended sounds rather limiting. I wouldn't call such a strategy "viable".

I wouldn't really call it limiting. I wouldn't want to leave my car while driving through the city. I would call that rather dangerous.

I agree. I'd suggest first you park it (aka, stop driving), then leave it.

How is it possible to not leave a car unattended in the city? You either never go to the city or you leave someone in the car at all times. That sounds like a strange way to go to the city. If I were too worried about my car to leave it unattended, I'd certainly be worried about the safety of the person left alone to attend it.

Although I am also puzzled about what exactly is being suggested, I guess the other possibility is you just keep driving around the city, never stopping.

That also does not strike me as what I would call a "viable" strategy.

Are you really that afraid of the city that you don't go there for anything other than to drive through it to somewhere else?

Nah, I do this all the time. I have this one friend who I only call up to sit in the passenger seat of my car while I get groceries, go to the movies, etc. Actually, since I live in the city, I just have him sit in there all the time, 24/7. It's kind of a lonely existence for that guy. Every once in a while I let him get the groceries while I sit and guard the car.

No wonder unemployment in the City is relatively low--lots of car-sitting jobs.

WoW!!

I just thought of a new Pittsburgh First. The first inflatable car guard friend. Looks like someone is sitting in your car while you're away doing something. Brian, you are inspirational.
