I did a survey tonight, 92% of all fans attending live in the 'burbs.

Seriously, it was a great night to be at the stadium.

Hopefully, I'll be there in October.

I became a believer in the Pirates again when they gave Andrew McCutchen a contract extension instead of trading him away.

Wow, I guess I'm in the 8 percent minority who live in the city. Big series this weekend against Detroit. Can't wait to see how the Bucs do against Verlander on Sunday

Proves nothing. Both Jason Kendall and Brian Giles were signed to long term deals here. Only 2 players who produced big time here since Bonds and Drabek left have been allowed to walk, or been traded with F/A looming; Aramis Ramirez, and Jason Bay, who wasn't worth the 16 million he got after he left here. The Bucs have sucked, not because they let good players walk, but because they haven't had any good players in the first place, due to awful scouting, drafting, and player development. People want to beat up on the Nuttings, but I won't blame them for what happened before they took full control of the team in 2007. They cleaned house, and started from scratch. They're not there yet, but this is as optimistic as I've been about them in a long time. Eventually, some of your good players will walk, but by extending them early, you get payroll certainty, plus get to keep them a few more years. If the Bucs had offered long term deals to Drabek and Bonds in 1990, they would have taken them, and they could have remained contenders for another 3 years. You have to be proactive, which they are now trying to be.

Lets see if they can make it past the All Star Break without collapsing.

Was a gorgeous day to be at the park last night. First time there, beautiful view of hte city from behind home plate.

I'll be there tonight as well, third base line in the infield box seats...decked out in my Tigers gear We're about to start your skid...

10 bucks we take 2 out of 3. I just might scalp a ticket on Sunday to see Verlander.

My guess is the series draws close to 90K in attendance. Should be a great weekend.

2 of three in our favor. Your bats are hot and I think that'll screw over Scherzer tomorrow.

Fister might be able to give Burnett a run...

Lots of Detroit fans walking around today...I like it!
