Well stated. Of course Slippery Rock has one of the best bars known to man. I love that place! Smokes every bar in Pittsburgh! No TV's on the main floor and home brewed beer with farm to fork hamburgers! Whats not to like. Wish Pittsburgh had something like that.

Those links mentioned more than just the college, but lets be honest, the college is the lifeblood of the entire town. I've been there probably 100 times or more since I used to have family a little further north of that area.

Not true. At one time Cooper-Bessemer was the life blood. Now it's GE, a few other corporations and the Mall on 79. The college doesn't generate enough jobs to support the area.

Seems you might need to visit instead of drive through. You are giving very bias advise on that area and it is BS and totally overblown. So a christian school doesn't want the students engaging in sex in the dorms. So what? The school was founded by Presbyterians and they are debaters and very far from being closed minded. I would say the college is a conservative branch, but lets not get carried away. You have heard about that little mall right? As Copanut has pointed out GE. The town isn't the college. The college is part of the town. Another example is there are several different churches represented in Grove City, so some odd cult like thing you are posting is far from reality. Driving through some town doesn't mean you visited it.

No I've actually visited like I've said previously. If it's so great why don't you move there?

But going back to my original point, the college is ultra conservative and the town supports said college 100%. But hey, no one has provided anything to back up their claim that it's not an ultra conservative town while I have. Draw your own conclusions sweet hearts.

I went to school there, the town doesn't care about the college other than some of the revenue it generates for local merchants. I know a lot of "townies" that are anything but conservative. Sure, they love their guns, but so do a lot of liberals I know.

If there is some huge following of the College and 100% of the people are supporting the college why would there be the following churches in town? Draw you own conclusions. Nuf said.

Or how about how there's only one official bar in the city that is considered a "college town". Also I'm not the only one who thinks of them as overly conservative. Yes the town is pretty and the campus is beautiful, but in my estimation their ultra-conservative nature is well documented.
I'm surprised to see St. Vincent College at that list.

Young America's Foundation - Top Conservative College List

Some schools that I thought would make the list are: Brigham Young University, Messiah College and Cedarville University.

One of the biggest infractions at Grove City College is walking on the grass. Rowdy students have been known to disobey the signs and not walk on the sidewalks.

I'm going to assume that you went there awhile ago right? A family member went there in the 90's and had nothing but positive things to say. Then around the early to mid 2000's then went full-on fundie which is a shame. During the gay porn controversy the student in question received hundreds of instances of hate mail and even some physical gay bashing by the student population. I think that speaks volumes. Also curt, posting more churches in the area is only proving my point.

Please keep in mind that I think Grove City is a lovely town and I'm not trying to paint the entire place as a hell hole.

You have a point on the gay porno star. If anything he should have been lauded for being an entrepreneur. I had five gay guys in my frat, no one cared, unless that Hans Brinker didn't kick in a buck for the keg.
