It is like an island. THAT may be its saving grace, and may keep it from sliding into urban trashdom. It could be that people stare (like I stated earlier) when you drive by because they actually know their neighbors, and/or have a curiosity, if not concern with who meanders through their streets.

I think it may be immune to the ills of Carrick for the most part. What a weird, but seemingly nice little place. They have a T station, as well.

They just built a bunch of beautiful homes in Munhall by the library. Does anyone know if they have any other projects in mind?

Check out my Carrick Crime Map
Most of Carrick & East Overbrook is the same level of gritty... Yet Carrick from Wynoka St to Birmingham Ave area aka "Northern CrK" & these parts of Southern Carrick: Carrick Ave, Kirk St -Spencer St area and the Maytide St-Merritt Ave area. These areas are probably worse than the worst parts of East Liberty these days.
