This sounds like a "girlfriend in Canada" story.

That article is pretty funny! I highly doubt he's doing anything remotely interesting because anyone who is would never say that they work for a "top-secret agency doing security work" and certainly not whine about clearances when under investigation for covering up a predator. The correct answer is "I work for the Department of Defense" whether you do or not. As for his employer my money is on the NSA. For what though is anyone's guess.

BINGO. And don't think for a second that the people in the CIA, DoD, or NSA are decent humans only doing stuff "for the good of the people" under heavily secretive security. Good acts don't need to be done in secret, and there are events from over 50 years ago that are STILL CLASSIFIED (like the Kennedy assassination files).

The only reason to not release files like that and bring closure to the situation? The answer is that they don't want the actual people who ordered the assassination to be found out. They most likely work in high levels of the gov, and sit at the boards of corporations whom make buckets of money off of the war efforts.
