Hi

I am looking for a puppy that would be considered large or very large breed. I have no problem with a mixed breed. I would go to the local shelter but they require me to bring my 3 cats and 2 kids to meet and greet the new dog. They also want about 200.00 for a mixed breed. I understand that pays for behavior classes also, but I have had dobermans before and attended obedience classes before. These classes teach the owner how to train the dog, therefore, once you have participated in the classes you know how to teach the puppy. We want a dog to be part of our family and AKC is not important. We had a dog collie/shepard/beagle (shabolie) but when my son moved he decided he needed a jogging buddy. So our family dog is now having a wonderful time being spoiled. If there is anyone that has a puppy that fits for free or low cost please respond. This puppy will be loved and cared for.

thanks

patty

Have you tried Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. You can search by zipcode. Also, I think the fee is for overhead costs, not training. You may want to check your newspaper for "free to good home" ads. Good luck!
