All areas of Aspinwall are very safe.

There is a small river park with a very small beach nearby at a development called Chapel Harbor that's just upstream of the Waterworks Mall.

How did you know that I was wondering where my dog could swim. She's short-haired but swims all winter here in Alaska! Thank you.

That's awesome!

Since this is a more populated region, just be aware of fish hooks.

Read up on fish hook first aid (which basically says to not try to remove on your own).

Dog Fishing Accidents - Fishhook Care for Dogs | petMD

Locate the closest emergency animal hospital ahead of time so you are prepared in the event of an emergency.

I'm not trying to scare you. My dog swam all the time. Never got a fish hook. But it's better to be informed, just in case.
