I drive to Castle Shannon purely to get a seat. So, I always take the Red in the morning, sometimes I take the Blue home at night. I like the longer ride. The only time I really get to read for pleasure is on my commute, so I get up earlier, drive to the park-n-ride and take the slow route just to read a few more chapters of a novel. It's a weird way to do things, I know.

I'm a Red Liner. Unfortunately, since I live in Mt. Lebanon, I don't have any other choice.

I used to live in Lebo, so I know the feeling. But I guess once you get on, the commute is something like 25 minutes, right? Not too bad. I had to drive in the other day for an off-site meeting, and it quickly reminded me why I don't drive on a regular basis!

Heh, could be, although I don't actually take that many elevators most of the time, at least for the last several years. How long ago did you last work downtown?

I envy all of you who work Downtown! I currently work in Oakland and really detest it.

It has been about 2-1/2 years. I remember we both parked in the same parking garage.

You don't take elevators? How many floors are too many floors to walk? Would you walk 50 floors?

I'm so over downtown - even with the revived Market Square area and some newer restaurants. Overall it feels so abandoned and smoke filled. The hospitals are pretty smokey outside too but I still prefer Oakland to downtown now. Downtown seems like it's either bankers or loafers - just the two extremes. Oakland feels more diverse and I prefer the energy there.
