Yeah, since the OP is looking for a studio or one bedroom apartment, they'll have many options in their price range compared to people who are looking for whole houses and larger apartments. It seems the OP's have a grasp of their situation. They're not coming here expecting the big house for zero money like some people. They are willing to live in a smaller space to be in the neighborhood that meets their needs best.

Hello again from the Watts family!
We are still searching the area for the apartments. We came across with Brentshire Gardens and Pinetree Gardens. Do you know anything about them?
We would appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance.

I've never heard of them. I googled and discovered they are in Brentwood. I'm not familiar enough with Brentwood to comment on the area. I recommend you start another thread titled "Is Brentwood safe? Considering two apartment complexes there." That way you'll attract responses from people who are familiar with Brentwood because they might not open this thread and see your latest post.

Keep in mind, they might say, "Regent Square", but they are in Wilkinsburg and not really as close as the landlord wants people to realize.

Parts of Point Breeze might work. Since you have a car, in that price range you might want to consider Sharpsburg or Millvale.

If you're working downtown (6th Ave), anywhere near the T (commuter train) is good and would also be good for Mrs. Watts. A lot of the area where the T runs is VERY HILLY so you need to either live close to it or drive to a park and ride lot. Dormont is a good place for rentals near the T, as is Castle Shannon.

On another side of town, Bellevue is another possiblity, but you need to be near the bus routes in that area (the T doesn't run there). From Lincoln Ave, it's a 25 minute bus ride downtown.

If you're working in Squirrel Hill, none of the places listed above is convenient to that location - look at Hopes' list for that.
